Fall Card With Gather Together Stamp Set and Bundle

It Feels Like Fall!  Tinges of color in the top of the trees, shorter days, and cooler nights.  It's here.  This is a Fall card I created for our monthly card class with the Gather Together stamp set and coordinating Gathered Leaves dies.  The idea for this card came from a card created by Mary Fish at stampinpretty.com

Gather together1

Here is the card recipe:

Nature's Twine, Blackberry Bliss (Annual Catalog)

Come to Gather Crumb Cake Ribbon (about 10 inches).

Gathered Leaves Dies

Using the large leaf die, cut out leaf shape in the center of  the DSP square.  Using small maple die, cut out a small leaf from the Cajun Craze paper.

Adhere DSP to card stock base with dimensionals to pop it up.  Adhere small leaf to center, and bow to small leaf with mini glue dot.

Stamp Gather together sentiment on crumb cake piece and punch out with Tailored Tag die.

Colorful Free as a Bird Card

This neat technique was new to me...

Bird watercolor pencil card 2

I CASED this card and technique on a video by a Stampin' Up demonstrator, and I can't remember her name, so sincere apologies.  I loved the "neon" look which is created by heat embossing an image and then coloring over it with Watercolor pencils.

Bird tag only2

As you can see, this image from the Free as a Bird stamp set has been heat embossed with white embossing powder.  It's pretty just like this.

But use watercolor pencils to color on the embossing, and you have another beautiful image!

I used Old Olive, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede, and Mambo Melon to color this card.

Bird tag and pencils2

Thick Whisper White card stock, 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4"; small piece for sentiment; 5 1/4 x 4" ; 5 x 4" piece cut with Nested Labels framelit; piece for inside of card.

Melon Mambo card stock, 5 1/4 x 4"

Basic Black piece, 4 x 5" cut with Nested Labels Framelit.

Versamark ink; Memento black ink; White Embossing Powder

Stamps:  Free as a Bird stamp set, Wish For it All

Snail Adhesive, Mini Glue Dots, Heat Tool; Stitched Nested Framelits Dies; Doily Wishes Dies

3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon; Subtle Embossing Folder

Use embossing buddy on black card stock piece.  Stamp bird image in Versamark ink, add white embossing powder and heat until set.

Color the embossing with water color pencils.

After coloring the embossing, layer the embossed piece onto a larger Stitched Nested Labels tag (white piece).  Emboss the Melon Mambo card stock with the Subtle embossing folder.

Die cut tag using tag from Doily Wishes Die.  Add Glittered Organdy ribbon through tag and to backside of Melon Mambo card stock.

Add embossed birds piece and sentiment tag to front of card.

Stamp inside of card.
